13 By Halloween: Update #1

And finally an update! I’ve been meaning to update this for a while, so it’s nice I’m finally able to. First up, I lost a couple things during my move. I have o idea what happened to them and I have not found them. I also finished one product up, so I just replaced them with something of the same category. Let’s go!

8. Oldest Item in your collection: Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue in Tearose 02

Still really pretty and definitely starting to see progress! I’ve been using the right side and I can see a visible dip. It makes me want to jab my finger nail in it to see how far down the bottom is. But I will resist.

Goal: Hit pan

15. Something in a previous project pan: Sonia Kashuk Brightening Powder

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder 100 Translucent(finished)

So, I finished the Maybelline powder! Now it’s a loose powder I’m working on, but the name is a lie. It’s not brightening, it’s glittery. Luckily you only see the glitter if you’re super close to my face so no worries. Sam goals the other one

Goal: Use up completely

16. New item in your collection: MUFE Step 1 Mattifying Primer

I’m having a hard time with this. I don’t know if it’s just that I’m not giving things enough time to settle into my skin or what but this has been making my foundations look awful for the past few weeks. I am still using it, sometimes, and you can see how much I’ve used it so far, but I’m going to need to do some serious trials.

Goal: Use consistently

17. Something fun: Aromaleigh Loose Eyeshadow in Valhalla

I’ve used this a bit, but it turns sort of green in some lights. Which looks awful. Apparently I’m not a fan of duo chrome eyeshadows.

Goal: Use actively

18. Something purple: Aromaleigh Loose Eyeshadow in Carina(lost) Sample Colour

It’s awful. I was actually really loving Carina and then I had to go and lose it. I was actually using it up and could see a lot of progress. Phooey. The new one is a taupey purple with some iridescent shimmer. Pretty but I’m not sure how to use it just yet.

Goal: Use up completely

19. Lip product: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in F-Bomb

I love it, I use it, it’s a small nub now. Getting close!

Goal: Use up completely

23. Item that was a gift: MUFE Nudes You Need Eyeshadow Palette

Used it a bunch, love the crap out of this. Contemplating depotting it, but the packaging is rather nice so I’ll continue debating that.

Goal: Use actively

26. Something from an “indie” brand: Aromaleigh Rouge in Lady Perseverance

While the colour looks super nice it’s actually super light. And I mean like, white light. Doesn’t blend very well and I have to put on a lot for it to look decent. Can’t wait to never use this again.

Goal: Use actively

28. Something glittery: Stila Kitten

It had gotten to the point where it was just on the sides so I broke it up. And now it’s just powder. I’ve also been using it as a highlight, which kind of works but I’m so excited to be finished with this and start on another of the million shimmery champagne eyeshadows I have.

Goal: Use up completely

29. Full sized item: Lancome Color Design in Pink Preview(Matte)

Haven’t used this much, but I need to get on that.

Goal: Use actively

33. Chapstick/Lip Balm: Lip Healthy Overnight Renewal Therapy(lost) Fresh Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm

Sad to lose the other one, but I’ve gotten a bunch recently through free samples so in a way it’s good. That’s what I say to help me sleep at night. The sugar one is alright, much more waxy than the ones I usually go for.

Goal: Use up completely

36. Item in your favorite color: The Balm Instain Blush in Pinstripe

Dear Jesus on a stick, you can see progress! It’s a miracle!

Goal: Use actively

44. Something pink: Urban Decay Vice 4 in Fast Ball

I’ve used it a handful of times, but it just doesn’t show up well. I’m trying guys, I’m trying.

Goal: Hit pan

And there you have it. Lots of progress and loss, but I’m aiming forward and going for gold.

If you’re doing this challenge too, let me know how it’s going in the comments!
