Hello again! Today’s mask is going to retexturize my skin and reveal new skin! Or something along those lines. It’s the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. Heavy on the rose part.
According to the description, it’s supposed to be like multimasking, that is using more than one mask at once. It has “Meditteranean rose clay, Canadian willow herb, and exfoliating jojoba beads”. It says it will provide a gentle “deep clean while refining skin’s texture”. “Pores appear to vanish and clarity is restored for a radiant, youthful-looking complexion that’s silky-smooth to the touch”. You are supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes.
As I said before, it has a very strong rose scent, so be cautioned. The colour is a light pink with small exfoliating beads that you can really feel when smoothing it on your face. It feels a little cooling when drying, but nothing too extreme. By the end of the 10 minutes, it’s fairly dried down, except for a few spots where I laid it on thick.
I will say, it’s a bitch to remove. Those jojoba beads mentioned before? They don’t actually move around unless you scrub at your face. Then they’re fine.
I will say, my face feels extremely smooth and soft, which is lovely. My skin also doesn’t look red or irritated, something I appreciate from my skin care.
My verdict? I would mask again! I’d have to see if this makes a difference in overall texture over time, which might lead me to purchase a full size, but for now I will see how the rest of this deluxe sized sample goes.
Let me know if you’ve tried it and if it’s your holy grail!
I figured I should have at least something up here today and what better thing to talk about than hoarding things! Continue reading “Small Hoarding Tendencies”
I’m back with my first mask of the year and my skin really needed this one. Continue reading “Monday Mask: Karuna Clarifying Face Mask”
Welcome to a brand new series that involves me doing next to nothing with my actual makeup collection, but a lot with my imaginary one. And not my imaginary, every single makeup item in the world collection, but a possible ‘let’s see’ version of what I already have. I’m not sure what other kinds of things I can do with this, but I’m hoping it can be a once in a while series on here. Continue reading “Imaginary Challenge: Cruelty-Free Products”
Here’s my update, and only a day later than I wanted it!
For only a few weeks of progress, I’ve managed to clear out a lot. Though most of them were samples, they’re gone! I’m freer! Continue reading “Project 100 Pan: January 2017”
Welcome to my lofty goal of the year!
Why settle for only a few things when you can have them all! But really, it’s time for a really big goal.
Project 100 Pan has been around for a long time, especially on youtube, but there’s still not a huge amount of people doing it. A brief explanation of it is that it’s exactly like any other panning project except it’s 100 items and goes for as long you want it to. For me, that is 1 year. By December 31st 2017 I would like to have all of these finished or have a lot of progress on them. Continue reading “Project 100 Pan 2017 Introduction”
Welcome to my final empties post of 2016, in 2017. I’m lazy and late, but it’s here, along with a year-end recap. I did some amazing things this year with my collection and used up a ton of old things. And I had some unexpected surprises! Also, apologies for no photo this time, I typed out my list nd then promptly threw them out before I remembered to take a picture. Whoopsies! Starting off the year on a good foot, here’s my first challenge!
I’m sure someone somewhere has come up with an idea like this already, but if not, here it is. The challenge is to get some use out of red coloured products. Lipsticks, blushes, eyeshadows, whatever you have that is red. Luckily enough, I have something red in all of those categories and more. Continue reading “Valentine’s Red: 5 Product Challenge”
New year, new you, right? Eh, not really. New year, vaguely better you. Now that’s my jam.
I’ve made a lot of progress this year and have some big sights for 2017. A lot of my bad habits have been improved on in the second half of the year, though I still have a lot of work to do. I’ve spent the past few weeks mulling over what I want to accomplish beauty-wise for 2017 and I think I have a solid list.
