I know I said I wouldn’t be buying too much for a little while, but we all have these moments where our conviction leaves us and we slip up. But, Shoppers was having a points weekend, something I wanted to buy at the VIB sale went out of stock and I was running low on something I use a lot. There, now it’s justified!
Sorry for all the hauls lately, I’ve just been running out of staples and finally following through with wishlist baskets, which this post is all about! I don’t know how many times I’ve spent an hour or more building a basket of samples and other Asian Beauty and then promptly exited out when I see the cost. But, my current sunscreen is getting close to being done and I’m not entirely sure I want to repurchase it, especially seeing as though it’s difficult to get. Thus enters in my reason for this haul: a bunch of sunscreen samples, as well as other things I’ve either heard about, or thought sounded interesting.

Ready for round two? I am! Continue reading “Birthday Haul: Mask Edition”
Look at me, actually doing this at the beginning of the month! Round of applause for being on time for a change. I managed to finish a lot in July, even if it seemed like I didn’t finish much. I will say, I finished a lot of hair products. A lot of them.

It’s the dreaded time of year, where all your time is sucked in exams and final papers. Which is why this comes to you a couple days late, I jut submitted my first paper today! And I have a week to do a whole other one. Please keep me in your thoughts. Continue reading “Project 100 Pan: April Update”
Looking back at my last update, it was a really snowy week. Guess what? It’s still snowing like crazy. We had a lovely week a couple weeks ago and then it went back to being cold and snowy. I can’t wait for April and at least a small semblance of spring.
Part of me doesn’t want to believe that January is already over, didn’t school just start up again? Apparently not, especially since I have a few empties to show. Normally I do an empties post every three months, but since I’m updating my Project 100 Pan every month I thought I would do a normal empties as well. This way I can see how much I use every month in everything else from my collection.
Hello again! Today’s mask is going to retexturize my skin and reveal new skin! Or something along those lines. It’s the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. Heavy on the rose part.
According to the description, it’s supposed to be like multimasking, that is using more than one mask at once. It has “Meditteranean rose clay, Canadian willow herb, and exfoliating jojoba beads”. It says it will provide a gentle “deep clean while refining skin’s texture”. “Pores appear to vanish and clarity is restored for a radiant, youthful-looking complexion that’s silky-smooth to the touch”. You are supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes.
As I said before, it has a very strong rose scent, so be cautioned. The colour is a light pink with small exfoliating beads that you can really feel when smoothing it on your face. It feels a little cooling when drying, but nothing too extreme. By the end of the 10 minutes, it’s fairly dried down, except for a few spots where I laid it on thick.
I will say, it’s a bitch to remove. Those jojoba beads mentioned before? They don’t actually move around unless you scrub at your face. Then they’re fine.
I will say, my face feels extremely smooth and soft, which is lovely. My skin also doesn’t look red or irritated, something I appreciate from my skin care.
My verdict? I would mask again! I’d have to see if this makes a difference in overall texture over time, which might lead me to purchase a full size, but for now I will see how the rest of this deluxe sized sample goes.
Let me know if you’ve tried it and if it’s your holy grail!
